Can anyone recommend a brand of paint brush for interior decorating?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Hi all

I’d like to get a set of five paintbrushes for interior decorating. I don’t want to break the bank, but would like something that is of reasonable quality to give me a good finish, and that is worth looking after and keeping for a while

Can anyone suggest a brand that is worth looking at?

Thanks
Matt

Brand is not important. The quality is. Look at this link for more info

How do I paint when one wall runs through my living room and dining room?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I want to paint only my dining room but one wall runs from my living room to my dining room (this wall also divides the kitchen/dining room). Should I chose a color that will go good with both living room & dining rm, or can I paint a line down where it will divide the rooms (which I really don’t want to do)? Should I just do the rest of the dining room and omit that particular wall? Any websites for suggestions?

You wouldn’t want a line down the middle. You have to make the one wall blend with both rooms. Add the some different colors in the dining and a little different in the kitchen. But the common color of the one wall. Roxanne

What is the best brand name of sofas?

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

I am looking to buy a sofa and loveseat. There is a LazyBoy company down the street. I know their recliners are great, does anybody have input on whether their sofas are of good quality, or can anybody suggest a good quality sofa?

Everything that you like about your La-Z-Boy chair will be the same for their sofas and loveseats. I am obviously biased since I work for them, but I can honestly tell you they are the best in the business.

We offer sofa choices in fabric or leather, reclining or stationary, and all of them come with the same La-Z-Boy quality that our recliners have. We can also custom order all of our furniture into the color of fabric or leather you want. Go check out the store near you and see what they have there. The prices range from around $500 to $1500 for a sofa that is in stock, and the prices can go up for custom made pieces.

Check it out, you won’t be sorry.

Is leather furniture sticky to sit on in the summer and cold in the winter?

Tuesday, October 20th, 2009

I am looking at replacing my living room furniture this year and I need some suggestions? First, we have 2 cats (and yes they sometimes scratch the ends of the sofa and loveseat that we have now-in fact it looks horrible) 2. The upholstery fabic we have now has piles all over it? I don’t want to go down that road again when we choose new living room furniture. The room it will go in will be sat on constantly (no formal living room in my house) and occasionally napped on. I need suggestions. I not not going to spend a fortune on the new furniture, but I would be willing to spend some extra for it to last for at least 5-7 years (if not longer). Any feedback would be appreciated.

Yes leather is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I have leather in the vehicle i drive and put some cloth seat covers on them. If you have cats they will ruin that leather. I have a cat long haired and she sheds on my furniture. I keep a blanket or sheet where she likes to sleep .. Its hard when you have cats. But i had rather have cloth at least you can use one of those sticky roller brushes and get most of it up. I have had the same sectional sleeper sofa for 10 yrs now.and it still looks good.
